Board specialists
Signal and Wi-Fi faults are often on the board, and that is where the team works most.

Bars gone, Wi-Fi won’t turn on or the SIM isn’t read? When an iPhone with no signal doesn’t get fixed in the settings, Help Cell checks the phone at Floripa Shopping and tells you what the fault is.
An iPhone with no signal almost always has one of two causes: something simple, like a SIM that isn’t seated right or a network setting, or a physical fault in the antenna, SIM reader or board. Help Cell tests the simple things first. If the fault is in the hardware, we check the phone at the bench at Floripa Shopping and send you the repair price on WhatsApp.
The iPhone connects to the world in three ways: the carrier network, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Each one has its own antenna and circuits on the board, and the SIM is only the key that identifies your line. So one fault can knock out one connection and leave the others working.
Finding out which connection is down is half of the diagnosis. A phone that only loses carrier signal usually has a different problem from one that loses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth together.
If the bars disappear and the SIM is recognized, the problem may be the plan, the network or the part of the iPhone that talks to the tower. Before opening the phone, test the SIM in another phone: if it works there, the fault is in the iPhone.
When the iPhone can’t see the SIM, the common suspect is the SIM reader, the part the tray touches. Dust, corrosion or an impact that bent the contacts can stop it from reading the card. In many cases it is a localized repair, without replacing the phone.
On many iPhones, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth share some of the circuits. If both fail together, especially after a drop or water, the fault is likely on the board, not in the router or the headphones.
If you recognize one of these six signs after testing the basics, it is worth bringing the phone in for a check.
A few two-minute tests can solve many cases and show the technician where the problem is. Do them in this order and write down the results.
Turn on airplane mode, wait ten seconds and turn it off. This forces the iPhone to search for the network again and clears temporary glitches.
Turn it fully off and back on. It sounds obvious, but it clears software faults that drop the signal.
Use the eject pin, wipe the SIM with a dry cloth and push the tray in all the way. Never force the tray.
If the SIM works in another phone, your plan is fine and the fault is in the iPhone. If it doesn’t work there either, contact your carrier.
In Settings, General, Transfer or Reset, there is an option to reset network settings. It erases saved Wi-Fi passwords, so write down the main ones first.
Don’t open the iPhone at home, don’t use a hair dryer if it got wet, and don’t press on the board. These moves turn a small fault into a bigger repair.
Four steps, from your first contact to the iPhone in your hand.
1 to 5 minutes. Tell us the model, whether the signal drops only on the SIM or also on Wi-Fi, and whether there was a drop or water.
The technician separates what is the SIM, the plan, the settings and the phone itself, before talking about parts.
If the fault is physical, the technician opens the iPhone and checks the antenna, the SIM reader and the board.
Help Cell gives you the price for your case, does the approved repair and hands back the tested iPhone, with warranty.
What is included in the bench work and what depends on other factors.
The price depends on what is faulty, and that only shows up after the test. That is why Help Cell does not publish a single price: describe the problem on WhatsApp and the reply comes with the price for your case.
| Factor | How it affects the price | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Origin of the fault | A settings fix is simpler than a board repair. | SIM not read because of dirt, versus a fault on the board. |
| iPhone model | The layout of the parts changes from one model to another. | Access to the antenna is different between generations. |
| Contact with liquid | Corrosion spreads the damage and may need chemical cleaning first. | iPhone that fell in water and lost Wi-Fi and signal. |
| Drop or impact | Loose contacts or cracked parts increase the work. | A corner drop that bent the SIM tray. |
| Several faults together | Several problems in the same check add up to more work. | No signal and also no sound on calls. |
Many people spend time with the carrier or the router when the fault is in the phone, and the reverse happens too. These points help you decide where to go next.
A new SIM costs time and won’t fix it if the iPhone’s SIM reader is faulty. Test the old SIM in another phone before asking the carrier for a replacement.
Erasing the iPhone usually doesn’t fix a hardware fault. Start with the network reset, which only changes connection settings, and back up before any bigger reset.
If the iPhone gets hot for no reason and loses signal, stop using it and bring it in. Heat with a network fault can point to a problem on the board or the battery.
The table sums up the most common clues. It guides the conversation, but only the bench test confirms it.
| Clue | Points to the iPhone | Points outside the iPhone |
|---|---|---|
| SIM in another phone | Works in the other phone and not in yours | Doesn’t work in any phone |
| Wi-Fi on other networks | Fails on every network | Fails only on the home network |
| Other devices on the same network | Only the iPhone drops | All devices drop |
| Device history | Started after a drop or water | Started after a change to the plan |
| Bluetooth with other headphones | No device connects | Only one specific headset fails |

Matheus looked after me very well! He was super attentive and managed to help me with my phone, which had dirt in the charging port. He fixed it quickly and explained everything clearly. Excellent service!
Efficient service on WhatsApp from Mykael and in the store from Josué. Excellent service! I took my phone in to replace the charging connector, but the technician checked it and, after a cleaning, found that the replacement was not necessary. The store did not charge for the cleaning either. Transparent, honest service and quality work. I recommend Help Cell!

Yes. A SIM that isn’t seated right, is dirty or is faulty is a common cause. Test the SIM in another phone: if it works there, the problem is in the iPhone and a bench check is worth it.
The time depends on the fault. The first test usually shows quickly whether it is something simple or physical, and the store tells you the time before doing the repair.
The check and the signal repair do not require erasing the phone. Even so, if the iPhone still turns on, back it up first. Help Cell also does data backup.
Turn it off, don’t charge it and bring it in as soon as you can. If liquid got in, the priority is chemical cleaning, because corrosion keeps working even when the phone looks dry.
It can be the iPhone or the accessory. If no headphones or watch connect and Wi-Fi also fails, the fault is likely in the phone. If only one accessory fails, try forgetting the pairing and pairing it again.
Yes. The 90-day warranty covers the repair against defects. It does not cover drops, liquid or misuse after delivery.
