Questions

Frequently asked questions about phone warranty and data

Does repairing at a shop that is not authorized void the warranty?

It depends on the manufacturer's rules and on the type of fault. If the phone is still under the factory warranty, read its terms before you take it to another repair shop.

When does the 90-day count start?

In general, the count starts when you pick up the repaired phone. Check the date on your service receipt.

Will I lose my photos if the screen is replaced?

For a normal screen replacement, no. Photos, contacts and apps stay in the phone's memory, which is not touched.

Does a factory reset help save my photos?

No. A factory reset erases the phone's data. Only do it if your photos are already saved somewhere else.
