What a MacBook screen replacement is
The screen of a MacBook sits inside the lid and is much more than a piece of glass: it has the panel that forms the image, the cover on top, and the cables that connect everything to the logic board. When one of these parts fails, the fix is to replace the damaged part with a new one. Your MacBook, with its files, passwords and programs, stays the same.
On a laptop, this replacement needs more care than on a phone. The lid is thin, the cables are delicate, and a bad opening can bend the frame or tear a cable. That is why the work is done at the bench, by a technician who has already opened MacBooks from several generations.
Whole lid assembly or only the panel
On many MacBook models, the replacement part comes as one assembly: panel, frame and parts of the lid already put together. On others, the repair can be done on the panel only. Which option exists depends on the model, and Help Cell explains this before agreeing on the price.
Original, genuine and compatible screens

What nobody tells you before a MacBook screen replacement
Laptop screen repairs have traps that only show up later. These are the points that catch people in a hurry most often.
Common mistakes when replacing a MacBook screen
Closing the lid with something on the keyboard
A pen, earbuds or a cable left between the keyboard and the screen is one of the most common causes of a cracked screen. After the replacement, be careful about this so you do not pay for it again.
Using it with a cracked screen
The crack tends to grow each time you open the lid, and loose pieces can scratch the keyboard when the laptop is closed. If you cannot replace it right away, avoid carrying the MacBook loose in your backpack.
Thinking the spot is only cosmetic
A dark spot that grows usually means a damaged panel, and it will not go away on its own. The sooner you show it to a technician, the easier it is to know whether only the panel is affected.
Checklist: before you bring in your MacBook
Back up if the Mac still turns on
The screen replacement does not touch your files, but a backup protects you from any surprise. If the image is gone, Help Cell also does data backup.
Write down the model and the screen size
On the Apple menu, choose About This Mac to see the model name. With that and a photo of the screen, we can give you the price without you bringing the laptop in first.
Have your charger and password ready
The shop may need to turn on the MacBook to test the image. Check with Help Cell what they need at drop-off.

Is the screen you use original?

Does the screen replacement come with a warranty?
Yes. The 90-day warranty covers the repair and the part against defects. It does not cover drops, liquid or misuse after the replacement.
Can I use my MacBook with a cracked screen?
You can for a short time, but it is not recommended: the crack grows, and loose glass can cut your finger or scratch the keyboard. If you need the Mac for work, tell Help Cell so we can agree on the best time for the replacement.
What if my MacBook got wet and the screen stopped working?
