What an iPhone back glass replacement is
The back glass is the glass cover on the back of the iPhone, where you see the Apple logo and the camera set. When it cracks, the repair is to replace that cover. The screen, the battery and the logic board stay the same, and your photos, contacts and apps stay as they were.
Older iPhones, like the iPhone 7, generally have a metal back and are not covered on this page. The glass back starts with the iPhone 8.
Back glass and camera glass are different parts
The camera glass is a small piece on top of each lens, and the back cover is the large piece. If only the lens cracked, the repair may be different. Tell us on WhatsApp and the team will confirm what needs to be replaced.
Why the back glass is a separate repair
On many models the glass is glued to the metal frame and also covers the wireless charging coil underneath. Removing the broken glass without damaging what is below takes skill and care, so this repair usually takes longer than a simple part swap.
Can I keep using it with a cracked back?
You can use it for a short time, but cracked glass can shed sharp chips, can cut your finger, and lets dust and moisture get closer to the logic board. The sooner you replace it, the lower the risk.

Trying to pull the glass off at home
Pulling or heating the glass without the right tools can tear cables, damage the wireless charging coil and cut your hand. A simple glass job turns into a bigger repair.
Only putting a film on the back and ignoring the crack
The film hides the damage, but it does not stop the crack from growing or moisture from getting in. It protects the back after the replacement, but it does not replace the glass.
Using the iPhone without a case after the repair
The new cover is as fragile as the old one. A case with raised edges greatly reduces the risk of breaking it again in the next drop.

Will I lose the data on my iPhone?
No. The back glass replacement does not touch the data on the device. Photos, contacts and apps stay on the iPhone. Even so, make a backup first if it still turns on.
Does the iPhone still charge wirelessly after the replacement?
This is one of the tests done at delivery. If the wireless charging coil was damaged by the drop, the team tells you during the assessment, and that damage is handled separately.
Does the back glass replacement have a warranty?
Yes. The 90-day warranty covers the service against defects. It does not cover a new drop, liquid or misuse after the replacement.
Is the new cover an original Apple part?
