Volume button stuck, side button not responding, or an iPhone that won't vibrate? Help Cell checks the phone at Floripa Shopping and does the iPhone button replacement and the vibration repair.
The iPhone button replacement fixes a fault in the volume button, the side button (the one that locks the screen and turns the iPhone on and off), the silent switch, or a home button that stopped responding. The same service covers an iPhone that won't vibrate, which is usually a fault in the vibration motor. Help Cell checks your phone at Floripa Shopping, tells you which part is failing, and sends the price on WhatsApp, with a 90-day warranty.
It is the repair of the parts you press or feel on the iPhone: the volume buttons, the side button, the silent switch and the motor that makes the phone vibrate. Each of these parts has a flexible cable connected to the board, and the fault is often in that cable or in the part itself.
In most cases the iPhone button does not need a whole new phone. The technician opens the iPhone, replaces only the part that failed, and tests everything before handing it back. Your data and apps stay on the phone.
Each model has a different set of buttons. The volume buttons are on the left side, the power button (also called the side button) is on the right, and the silent switch is above the volume buttons. On some newer models, the Action button replaced the silent switch. The iPhone 7, 8 and SE also have a home button. On these models it does not really move down: the click you feel is a vibration.
The vibration comes from a part called the Taptic Engine, a small motor that moves the phone. It alerts you to calls when the phone is on silent, gives you feedback when you type on the keyboard and, on iPhones with a home button, makes the button "click". When it fails, you lose those alerts and, on some models, the click of the home button.
If you recognize any of these six signs, it is worth bringing the iPhone in for a check.
Most of the time the problem is wear, dirt or impact, and each cause needs a different repair. Knowing which one applies helps you tell whether a cleaning is enough or the part needs to be replaced.
The button has a thin cable that connects the part to the board. After thousands of presses, the cable wears out and the button starts failing from time to time before it stops working completely. In that case the fix is to replace the button cable.
Dust, sand and sweat get into the gap around the button and block its movement. People who live near the beach notice this more. If there are signs of liquid, the iPhone needs a chemical cleaning (deoxidation) first, because the corrosion keeps spreading.
An impact on the side can bend the frame, loosen the button or tear the cable off the connector. The same impact may have affected other parts, so the check also looks at the rest of the phone. If the iPhone won't even turn on after a drop, see iPhone that won't turn on.
The Taptic Engine can fail from a drop, from wear or from moisture. Before replacing it, the technician checks that the problem is not just a setting, such as Focus mode or vibration turned off in Settings.
In some cases the button and the part are fine, but the circuit on the board that reads the press has stopped working. That repair is a board repair, done with microsoldering.
Four steps, from the first message to the iPhone back in your hands.
Tell us the model and which button fails, or that the iPhone doesn't vibrate. A photo or video helps.
The technician tests the button, the vibration and the board to find the real cause.
The work only starts once we know what needs to be replaced.
When you pick it up, press each button and feel the vibration before you leave the store.
What you get in the repair price and what is not included.
The price depends on the model and on which part needs to be replaced: a volume button does not cost the same as the vibration motor. Help Cell does not publish a single price. Send us the model and the problem on WhatsApp, and we reply with the price for your case.
| Factor | How it affects the price | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Which part failed | Each part has a different cost and labor time. | Volume button and vibration motor. |
| iPhone model | The internal design changes from one model to another. | An iPhone with a home button and one without. |
| Cause of the fault | Cleaning usually costs less than replacing the part or the board. | Button stuck from dirt and button with a torn cable. |
| Condition of the frame | A frame bent by an impact may need extra adjustment. | iPhone that fell on a corner. |
| Other faults along with the button | Liquid or board damage increases the work. | Drop that affected the button and the screen. |
A faulty button looks simple, but a few precautions prevent paying twice. These are the most common ones.
Pressing hard or pushing an object into the gap can tear the cable and make the fault worse. If the button is stiff, stop trying and bring in the iPhone.
Go to Settings, Sounds & Haptics and check that vibration is on. Also check that Focus mode and silent mode are not on. If everything is right and nothing vibrates, then a check is worth it.
If the iPhone has been wet, the button may be only the first symptom. Replacing the part without treating the corrosion makes the fault come back.
The button repair does not erase data, but a backup protects you from anything unexpected.
Press volume, side and silent switch one by one. Telling the technician which one fails and when it happens helps them find the cause faster.
In Settings, Accessibility, AssistiveTouch shows a virtual button on the screen. It helps you use the iPhone while the physical button is broken, but it does not fix the fault.
An overview to help you understand what changes for each type of fault. The final diagnosis is only possible with the phone open.
| Criterion | Volume or side button | Home button | Vibration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where the fault is | The button part or its cable | The button part or the cable on the board | Taptic Engine motor |
| Most common symptom | Stiff, failing or unresponsive button | Doesn't click or doesn't recognize touch | No alerts and no feedback on touch |
| Extra care | Check for liquid | Usually the fingerprint reader is paired with the board | Check Settings first |
| Can it be the board? | Yes, in some cases | Yes, in some cases | Less common |
| Turnaround | To be confirmed at the check | To be confirmed at the check | To be confirmed at the check |

Efficient service on WhatsApp from Mykael and in the store from Josué. Excellent service! I took my phone in to replace the charging connector, but the technician checked it and, after a cleaning, found that the replacement was not necessary. The store did not charge for the cleaning either. Transparent, honest service and quality work. I recommend Help Cell!
Bruno CamargoGoogle review, Aug 2026I love this store, and Matheus's service definitely makes all the difference. He deserves the best rating possible! I recommend the store with my eyes closed and I will happily buy here again. Score: 10000.
They replaced my phone battery the same day even though it was an older model, and they also worked hard to find and apply a screen protector. Everything came out right, they do a great job with good service from the whole team.
Cristina RubyGoogle review, Jun 2026The price depends on the model and on which part needs to be replaced. Send the model and the problem on WhatsApp +55 48 99110-7381 and Help Cell replies with the price.
It depends on the button and the model. Help Cell confirms the timing at the check, before you approve the repair. If there is another fault along with it, such as the board or liquid, the timing may change and the store will let you know.
No. In a button or vibration repair, photos, contacts and apps stay on the phone. Even so, back up first if the iPhone still turns on. Help Cell also does data backup.
It can be both. First check in Settings, Sounds & Haptics that vibration is on, and that Focus mode is off. If everything is right and the iPhone still doesn't vibrate, the Taptic Engine probably needs a check.
It depends on the model. On many iPhones with a home button, the fingerprint reading is paired with the board, so replacing the button can stop Touch ID from working. Help Cell explains what to expect for your model before agreeing on a price.
Yes. The warranty lasts 90 days and covers the service and the part against defects. It does not cover drops, liquid or misuse after the repair.
Yes, in a limited way, with AssistiveTouch, which shows virtual buttons on the screen. But it is only a temporary fix: if the side button fails, turning the iPhone on and restarting it becomes difficult. The sooner it is repaired, the less chance the fault gets worse.
Turn the iPhone off, don't charge it, and bring it in for a check. When there is liquid inside, the priority is chemical cleaning. Replacing the button first can hide the real problem.
